Test results are an integral part of your medical care. We strive to follow-up on all tests within a relatively short time. Most lab tests take approximately 24-48 hours for results while some test done at the hospitals often take longer to reach us. Pap results in particular routinely take 2 weeks due to the over-reading of the results and regulations surrounding this particular test. (Please see RESOURCES for info on the THIN PREP pap test now being offered.)

Due to confidentiality concerns, no results will ever be left on answering machines or with another person. We will leave a message on your answering machine that the doctor's office called and please return our call.

Test results are often reviewed at a follow-up visit. If you have not received your results after 2 weeks (or sooner if you are concerned), please notify the office. We may have been trying to reach you.
